59 Capital Partners Launches Market Perspectives in Collaboration with Bul Ekici

The collaboration will strengthen 59 Capital Partners' investment perspectives and dialogue with institutional investors.

Stockholm/London – September 1st, 2026

59 Capital Partners today announced a collaboration with independent macroeconomist and market strategist Bul Ekici, alongside the launch of 59 Capital Partners Market Perspectives, a new investment insights initiative for the institutional investment community.

The collaboration reflects 59 Capital Partners' ambition to build something broader than a traditional placement business. Alongside identifying and representing specialist investment managers, the firm wants to contribute to the investment dialogue around the questions, risks and opportunities shaping institutional portfolios.

Institutional investors have no shortage of market information. The challenge is often determining which developments really matter for portfolios, how different risks interact and where specialist investment strategies may offer something genuinely different.

The collaboration with Bul will bring together her broader macroeconomic and portfolio perspective with the specialist investment expertise within 59 Capital Partners' network.

"From the beginning, our ambition with 59 Capital Partners has been to build something broader than a traditional placement business. We spend a great deal of time understanding specialist strategies—where returns come from, what risks investors are actually taking and how those risks interact with the rest of the portfolio. There is already an enormous amount of good market research available. What we want to do is identify the investment questions we believe are worth understanding more deeply and bring together the right perspectives to explore them. Bul's experience across macroeconomics, markets and institutional investing makes her an ideal partner for us in developing that dialogue."
Tina Söderlund-Boley · Co-Founder, 59 Capital Partners

Bul brings more than 20 years of experience across financial markets, economic analysis and asset management, including 19 years at Sveriges Riksbank as well as roles at AP3, Skandiabanken, HSBC and Länsförsäkringar.

"The most interesting portfolio questions rarely sit neatly within one asset class or one macroeconomic theme. Changes in inflation, geopolitics, correlations or market structure can have very different implications depending on where an investor is taking risk. What attracted me to this collaboration is the opportunity to connect those broader developments with specific investment questions and specialist expertise, and ultimately with what they mean for institutional portfolios."
Bul Ekici · Independent Macroeconomist and Market Strategist
"Our role is not simply to introduce investors to managers. We want to contribute to a broader investment dialogue and help connect specialist knowledge with the questions institutional investors are considering. This collaboration is an important step in developing that broader role for 59 Capital Partners."
Johan Wahlman · Co-Founder, 59 Capital Partners

The first 59 Capital Partners Market Perspective will be published in September and will examine catastrophe bonds and the role of insurance-linked risk in institutional portfolios as the Atlantic hurricane season enters its historically most active period.

The perspective will combine Bul's broader macro and portfolio view with specialist market insight from Plenum Investments, one of 59 Capital Partners' investment manager partners and a specialist in insurance-linked securities and catastrophe bonds.

Further Market Perspectives and related institutional events will follow during the autumn.
